Diagnostic Tools – Wood’s Lamp & Dermoscope

"At Mediverse, we provide patient-focused care through expert services, advanced technology, and genuine compassion."

Dr. Rabia Abid Mughal may use these diagnostic tools as part of a clinical skin assessment when appropriate. A Wood’s Lamp can assist in evaluating selected pigmentation concerns, while dermoscopy can provide a closer examination of moles and other skin lesions. These tools can complement the clinical examination and help guide decisions about appropriate management or whether further evaluation is needed.

Diagnostic Tools – Wood’s Lamp & Dermoscope

Wood’s Lamp and dermoscopy are useful diagnostic tools that can support a more detailed assessment of the skin. A Wood’s Lamp uses ultraviolet light to help examine certain changes in skin pigmentation and other surface characteristics, while a dermoscope provides magnified visualization of skin lesions and structures that may not be clearly visible to the naked eye.

A consultation allows Dr. Rabia to assess your skin concern and determine whether diagnostic examination with a Wood’s Lamp or dermoscope may be useful. The findings are considered together with your medical history and clinical examination to support an appropriate and individualized treatment or management plan.

Laser Hair Reduction

Laser hair reduction is a commonly used aesthetic dermatology treatment designed to reduce unwanted hair from selected areas of the face and body. The treatment uses controlled laser energy to target hair follicles, with treatment parameters selected according to individual skin type, hair characteristics, and the area being treated.

Laser hair reduction can be considered for areas such as the face, arms, legs, underarms, and other selected body areas. During consultation, Dr. Rabia assesses your concerns and discusses whether the treatment is suitable for you, what you may expect during the treatment process, and the care required before and after treatment.
